15-Minute Apple Oat Dog Treats

Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes
Resting Time 10 minutes
Total Time 30 minutes
Servings: 2025 -25 treats

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats plain, unsweetened
  • 1 medium apple peeled and finely grated
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil optional
  • 2-3 tablespoons water only if needed

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Peel the apple, remove core and seeds, then finely grate it.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, grated apple, egg, applesauce, and coconut oil (if using). Stir until a thick, slightly sticky dough forms. If too dry, add water 1 tablespoon at a time.
  4. Scoop small portions of dough and roll into balls or flatten into cookie shapes. Keep them similar in size for even baking.
  5. Place treats on prepared baking tray and bake for 12-15 minutes until firm and lightly browned.
  6. Let treats cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
  7. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or refrigerate/freeze for longer storage.
